a new lifein a different place

kia ora! well, that's supposed to be a greeting in maori language, if i'm not mistaken. haha!

anyway, i've arrived safely and in 1 piece (thank God) in Christchurch, New Zealand. phew. It's really really cold here (esp for a malaysian la...) It's autumn now, gonna be winter next week though. bad news is the weather here is often rapid n not steady. heh. dunno y. anyway i bought tons of winter clothing to keep myself warm during these 3 cold months.

i'm currently staying with a homestay family for at least 2 months 1st. then, i'll make a decision whether to stay or move to a hall of residence (basically a hostel in e uni). i'm fortunate to have a friend going with me to this foreign land... hehe. name's Eric, from Green Road. yeah, we've had some funny moments together... One of them was thinking we'd missed the flight from Auckland to Christchurch, then rushing to the CORRECT terminal, only to find out that e flight was delayed for half an hour. that was when i knew the meaning of "a huge sigh of relief".

class starts on e 1st of June, really excited yet nervous at e same tym. still trying to adapt myself with e local customs here. n e food ar... haiyo let's just say i enjoy malaysian food so much more than e food here. my hostmum did try cooking asian dishes e 1st nite i got here, but it just can't compete with mum's cooking. *sigh* not forgetting to mention e jetlag i got after being on e plane for over 12 hours. man... must have looked like a zombie after that.

so yeah... i'm beginning a whole new life here, trying my best not to miss my family n frens back home too much. it's hard at 1st, but i trust dat He'll always be by my side. =P that's all for now. will blog more if i'm not too lazy. hehe. peace!
