Exam season came and went so fast, it felt just like yesterday when it was microbiology exam when I thought it was a 2 hour exam instead of 3 hours. -___- Oh well, it's better than the other way round, right?
So mid winter break is here again. 3 whole weeks for me to laze around, catch up on beauty sleep, watch tv series, endless shopping (with a limit, of course), and time to experiment in making cakes/muffins!
Also, I've decided to (finally) make a short trip back to Christchurch. So many things to look forward to there: catching up friends, shopping, bubble tea (!!!), yummy Chinese food at great restaurants, the beautiful beaches... I'll be staying with my previous homestay family, kinda random but I figured it was the best way to spend time with Carol and Margaret again after so long.
Anyway, went to watch Shrek the Third just now at Rialto. I have to admit, the sound system is indeed better than at Hoyts. The seats felt the same to me, though. Out of 10, I'd rate it a 7.5. Some might rate it more (especially someone who laughed like a hyena throughout the whole movie)... Yes, it was hilarious and sort of original, but I felt that Arthur didn't have to be in the whole movie, and putting him in it just because someone was dating someone else that time pulled the originality rating down. On the contrary, there were some scenes that managed to get stuck in my mind: Rapunzel was actually bald, Snow White has a crush on one of the 7 dwarves (guess who?), and who could resist laughing at Puss making that innocent big eyes look when he was stuck in Donkey's body?
And of course, the one that is best NOT thought about... (I love this dialog, but didn't laugh as hard as it has appeared in the trailers, so the surprise was spoiled).
Prince Charming: You! You can't lie! Where is Shrek?
Pinocchio: Well, uh, I don't know where he's not.
Prince Charming: You don't know where Shrek is?
Pinocchio: On the contrary,
Prince Charming: So you do know where he is!
Pinocchio: I'm possibly more or less not definitely rejecting the idea that I undeniably
Prince Charming: Stop it!
Pinocchio: Do or do not know where he shouldn't probably be. If that indeed wasn't where he isn't!

And then, there were 3 little cute, errrrr green and healthy ogre babies. Somehow, I was hoping the babies to turn out as something totally different than what Shrek looks like :P
