The week after easter

Chyi: You'll need to add no.8 to the list of people who don't blog often anymore.

I'm slowly feeling disconnected to the blogging world.

Balancing work and studies sure is tough. Now I know what I got myself into. Oopsy. 20 hours doesn't sound a lot but it is when I have to squeeze work in between lectures and labs. For eg on Thursday I had a 10-11 am lecture, rushed to ACC (at Otago House) for work at 11.15am, then go back to Bioc building for bioc253 lab at 2 till 6pm. I had my first 9 hour lab on Friday. Not as bad as it sounds actually, as we get to come and go whenever we're finished with the experiments.

It's funny how things turn out. Like my other lab partner is called Mercedes. And I actually knew her 2 years ago when she used to come over to Studholme Hall every single day. We call her one of the PRs. Everyone's so focused and serious about lab, but she comes over asking us "What's up homies?" For some reason, she found an EYELASH together with her DNA product to be PCRed. Hahah. Very random. Even one of the lab demonstrators call her 3741629 (or some other random number) as she didn't want to tell him her name at first.

Besides the long hours, being a 3rd year student isn't that bad. We actually get access to a special computer resource room I never knew existed on the 1st floor of the biochem building. Only 3rd and 4th year students and staff have access to it! New iMacs, with Vista compatibility some more. So flashy. With free unlimited printing (according to Ron)! Too bad 3rd year students can only use it from morning to 6pm, 4th years and staff get 24/7 access.

Btw, we had a girls only slumber party last Friday at Rebekah's house at Kaikorai Valley. It was great, but I seriously lacked sleep and ended up looking like a zombie the whole day. We watched movies, played games, had manicures/pedicures/foot spa, great food. Thanks to everyone who helped out!

Food! Angeline F. makes the best nasi lemak. Yum.

Jelly! been ages since I last had them.

Guess who's ELMO? HEHEHE

the crazy American/Enrique Iglesias wannabe.
Her rendition of "Hero" cracks me up.

Happy bday Rachel!

Not that you would want to know how many stores are there worldwide now. Ok fine, I'll tell you. It's 15,011 and counting.

The food looks so, so yummy. I've never had a slumber party in my life since I don't have enough close female friends (sad, right?). Good luck juggling work and school, too. :)
