Shine oh shine

SHINE '08 starts tomorrow!!!!!

Which means I won't come back to Dunedin till Sunday late afternoon.

These past few weeks have been hectic as never before, but come to think about it, I wouldn't trade it in for anything else.

Cons of working at ACC for the past 7 months: walk long way to work, spent less time studying/doing assignments, bought more formal working clothes than I'll ever need.

But, the pros aren't that bad either: at least I have an office/government work experience, being a colleague with some cool people and Michelle, bought nice working clothes hehe, have more income HEHEHE, feel like a pro now that I'm training newbees to the office muaHAHA.

I'll be sad yet happy at the same time to leave next week. 5th of Sept shall be my last day at work. Good luck Yale (my successor ;P) with all the dental and orthotics invoices. Which made me think: should I find another job next year? I don't mind the extra pocket money, but if it takes up more time, I'll have to settle to being a full time student then WITH no extra pocket money. Jaq is doing her honours this year, taking the one MICR490 paper and is always at her lab; I wonder how long I'd have to stay in labs next year when I have to take that paper plus 4 or 5 other papers too. She even mentioned a PHD student in the lab practically living the lab, eg. sleeping in the lab, showering in the toilets, not going home till 4am in the morning most days. Which translates to LAB=LIFE. *gulp*

Anyway, finally settled my air-ticketing issues:

Leave Dunedin =( on the 7th of Nov- 3 days after final exam.
Singapore airlines direct flight from Dud-Christchurch-Singapore-Kuching. Well, as direct as can be.
8th Nov (morning) - MAS flight to Singapore with my old folks.
10th Nov - Start GIS attachment!!! *double gulp*
(work work work work work) + (earn a bit of money too) + (shopping at orchard road) + (meet up with friends!)
(is there holiday for me?)
8th Feb 09 - End of attachment. pheww....
15th Feb 09 - Back to Kuching
23rd Feb 09 (tbc) - Back to Dunedin

I can't believe I told my mum I finish work on the week ending of 15th Feb when I changed the dates to 1 week earlier. oooops. And the tickets have been booked already. Paiseh-nya. Which means I either stay at Sg for 1 more week shopping, or work extra 1 week, or ignore the ticket and buy another one for 8th Feb. HMMMMM....

Still lazy to upload/resize the Agnes photos.

I've been told at least twice these past few days that I look tired aka my eye bags are looking heavier than usual. Extra panda eyes, yay. My biological clock is not operating in its usual fashion: I've been sleeping at times past 5am, waking up at 9 or 10am to go work, coming back late to work on assignments etc etc. Last night, I was so tired and had to go to bed at 9pm, waking up at 2am to do my presentation idea proposal, then finally sleeping at close to 6am THEN waking up at 9am to go to work (1 cup of tea, 1 cup of strong cappuccino helped).

Anyway. Good thing the weather forecast for this weekend is still looking good. Rain, rain go away! Looking forward to the fun fun fun activities planned and camp fire on Saturday night! WOOHOOOOOO~! =)
