Funny how I always have the most inspiration to blog once its close to having a test or exam. Point is, a 20% test on New Zealand in the World is tomorrow, and I still haven't covered all the topics on the UN and Commonwealth. Stupid politics. If it wasn't an elective subject, I wouldn't even be bothered about it.
So anyway went to the central library to study for it, at the 11th floor to be precise. Quite a nice view though, and couldn't resist taking some pics. I could actually see almost the whole of Chch, and one most noticable thing of coz is - the library is probably the tallest building in the whole city. So farnie. Either the Kiwis don't have the technology to build multi-storied buildings or they're really cautious about the possibility of an earthquake happening.
The topic about going clubbing came up AGAIN. For the past few days I've been thinking of the nicest way possible to tell Liudmila that I'm just not comfortable going clubbing. I'm not going to go on about how Christians (well, most) don't go clubbing, but I needed her to understand that it's my decision and to respect it, also I don't think that people who go clubbing are, well, bad-eggs. So I hope I got that cleared la. Kinda awkward coz Ivan's been asking us out for clubbing at 2 freaking a.m. this weekend! So, yeah, the answer is no but thanks for asking anyway. It seems like people who DON'T go clubbing are the minority here, unlike the scenario back home. So kwai le, me.
But I did agree to go the bbq party tomorrow though. Correction. Liudmila DRAGGED me to the bbq party. I reluctantly said yes after she said, "So you're betraying your best fren, huh." Make me feel bad nia. But what I don't understand is why most June intake students are not going. I just hope the weather's fine, and no strong winds of course.
On a more serious note, I've finally signed up to sponsor a child. And to be honest, it feels great. Plus, it's only 40 dollars a month to sponsor a child living a poverty, and giving him/her (in my case, a 3 year old girl) a brighter future. So, to all those who haven't lent a helping hand in any way at all, WHY NOT?
