I have no idea who she is, or how she got to be "popular" (among which age group, I'm not sure either). My guess is probably some overpaid ah ma you see acting in those cheesy, bad Mandarin dramas on Astro or TV2. I'm still dumbfounded by the fact that she posed in a swimsuit with inflated condoms as quote: "BALLOONS". Please, for the love of your grandchildren, COVER UP and KNIT, or whatever you old people like doing now.

With the pension age gradually increasing, the older generation is given more years to work, and this is probably where the "superiority complex" comes in.

As I know, those above the retirement age should obviously, RETIRE. The whole point of retirement is letting somebody younger to do your job. Unfortunately for this ah ma here, she hasn't been informed about that fact yet.

Looking at this blog, I'm more convinced now that I'm doing the right thing: asking my parents to retire here in NZ. The fork road is still to come, but I do believe they will have a better life here. The process of getting a permanent residence is long winding, but anything beats having to spend their old days caught up in the hectic lifestyle in Malaysia.
