Sometimes you browse through friendster or one of those social network sites and notice a few profiles with lets say, 1000 friends. That's fine, maybe you are as popular as Paris Hilton. Then, you see the pictures. Ah, the over-photoshopped pictures with big "innocent" eyes, pouted lips, face slanted at 45 degrees, baby expressions, peace/victory signs (or sometimes just weird sign languages covering a part of their faces)... If that's not enough, this girl posted about 50 "profile pictures" of herself. Can someone please tell me the point of doing that?
A few possibilities to why they do that:
- Proving to the world that they are indeed, cute. So what? You get awarded with the "cutest blogosphere girl award" and get random comments from 80-year-old men. Erm. Very satisfying indeed.
- Too much time on their hands. Take out a camera, start "cam-whoring", then spend 5 hours a day in front of the computer using photoshop to create cheesy pics, then post them online. If you're not getting paid to do that, why even bother?!
- Need a boost of self esteem. Girls, even if you're getting comments like "You're so cute! Can I be your friend?", refer back to last part of reason #1. Self esteem comes from within, not from what others think.
They seriously need to hire personal psychiatrists to cure that disease.
Oh, and photoshop (and other similar editing programs should be kept out of reach of girls who refuse to accept the fact that they are not cute at all.

It's close to 2am and the coffee's just kicking in, so probably most of this post won't make sense. Just wanted to clarify that.
