Waking up early wasn't as bad as I thought; the alarm rang at 6am, it was still pitch black outside but I managed to spend some quiet time with God.
The not so easy part is trying to stay awake for the rest of the day.
I was dozing off by my 2nd lecture at 10am, couldn't concentrate fully on the ridiculously complicated metabolism pathways in biochemistry lectures. *pinches myself* Coffee didn't help; I'll make it 2 teaspoons tomorrow and see if that works.
I'm thankful that genetics lab only lasted for half an hour. Yeap, that is a record. I'm sure the lab demonstrators were happy to get paid for 4 hours and work only one eighth of that time. I tried to do some biochem revision after that, but managed only one lecture's worth of study. =( I tried, I really did. So I decided to pack up and get some rest.
Now, I'm all refreshed. *Yawns again* Oops. The first few days are always harder, my biological clock still working 2 or so hours behind myself. Hopefully tomorrow won't be as hard, and I'll try to make it through without an afternoon nap.
