Stuck in the mud

Dunedin weather is playing tricks on us all again. A few days ago it was all sunny and warm, then it started raining 2 days ago. Then yesterday when it finally stopped raining, I decided to do the unthinkable: wear jandals. Lo and behold, when walking across the park leading to St Davids, all the mud and slime got stuck in my jandals and feet. The embarrassing part was when the right jandal slipped off my foot and got stuck in the mud, and I had to "reverse" back to where I was to pick it up.

Walking across the park has never been so dreadful.

Recently, I noticed a change in me: the decrease in ability to say the words that I really want, and end up saying something similar but with a different meaning altogether.

The first time was when I was trying to explain to a friend about how VideoEzy made a mistake about not returning a game on time. I was happily telling my story when suddenly I was pointed out that instead of saying VideoEzy, I'd mentioned EziBuy the whole time.

Then I also said "cereals" instead of "muesli bar" a few times, and many other embarrassing unable-to-talk-properly examples. What bugs me the most is this: I was oblivious to the fact that what I spoke is different to what I MEANT to say, meaning that something in my brain which connects the thought processed to speech has short circuited, or has temporarily taken a nap. Either way, this is not good at all.

So next time if you ask me a question and I answered in a way that doesn't make sense at all, feel free to repeat the question again and again (if you're patient) or just say "Har?!" (with a very puzzled look on your face).
