Aiyer...I'm in the same group as Eric de Gorilla in the cooking competition for the youth camp! Die liaw. While discussing about we're gonna cook to impress the judges, he kept talking out of topic... ish, not even serious for one second. Heh, I don't expect to win the competition anyway. haha!
Anyway, Aunty Siew Siew led priase n worship this morning. It was ok, since it was her first time in years leading. Some people complained that the songs were boring because they were being sung really slooow. No comments. haha! I feel sorry for her, she tried her very best, and it was good enough. To have the guts to go up there and lead the whole congregation for more than 30 minutes, that's brave. *Applause*
Derrick is back from Aussie, he joined us for meeting just now. But he seems a lil distant. Maybe I'm just being over sensitive... dunno. About the youth camp, I guess almost everyone is not happy that Rev Patrick chose to have his session with us on the afternoon. When Unca Chris asked for our opinions last night, everyone objected and opted for hiking instead. What they said was if what we're gonna do all day long at Gunung Gading is to meditate and study the bible all day, why not just do it in church and save lotsa money? Plus, what's the point of going to Gunung Gading if you don't hike? I'm not fond of studying so much after toiling for months for SPM. No way are they going to cancel treasure hunt or beach activities.
I don't mean that we should forget about praying and studying God's word, but let there be enough time for us to have FUN! Gosh...the mainpurpose of having this camp in the first place is to unwind ourselves from stress, esp from studies. And now Rev Patrick is being strict about almost everything. I just pray that he'd be more linient with us this time... and save all those teachings for another day.
