We love our country, don't we?

Ever wondered where Namewee, the Malaysian guy who produced/sang the controversial "Negarakuku" is now? Or what he's been up to?

FYI: In case you haven't heard of 15Malaysia, it is a short films project, featuring *the best young filmmakers" in Malaysia. As the project name suggests, it showcases 15 short films, 3 of which have been released and can be viewed for free on the website here. The rest will be released periodically.

Back to Namewee. So apparently he's back in Malaysia. And tada- here's a funny short film featuring the infamous man himself:

Another one produced by the most talented Yasmin Ahmad (she passed away recently), well known for her heartwarming Petronas/Chinese New Year ads on tv. Here's "Chocolate".

I especially love the last one. A student gets a scholarship abroad, mum's pushing him to go "for a better future in another country", yet he doesn't want to leave his friends behind OR leave his mum behind with her bf who's just using her.

Looking forward to watching the other films!

Oh, by the way, a note to Auckland people: I'm heading up north for a visit after exams/before graduation! :) Revisiting Welly (yay May may!!!) on the 15th of Nov, then up to Aucks on 24th. And who knows where after that; I've only booked a one way ticket ;)
