bio, bio, bio

Somebody help me clear my mind. It's spinning with thoughts on what degree should I do next year, and what job will I be doing for the rest of my life. Sounds really scary. I got lucky, again, and stumbled upon a biologist's blog. Here's an exerpt.

"the whole human cloning thing is totally retarded. i mean, just because some human beings have the capability to do bad things with some new technology, does that mean we should all suffer and remain in the dark ages?? not to scare anyone, but many of the techniques that people use in a regular biology lab could be easily tweaked to create some terrible bacterica (though probably not deadly) and released into the environment somehow. it's not that hard. the fact that people haven't done it is, i think, a testament to the fact that we scienctists are mostly peaceable intellectuals. we just want to understand how the human body works in order to help cure disease. i know that's so cliche, but it's true! and what about other "good" ideas like guns? police use them in the name of the law to protect us, but everyday how many "bad" people get a hold of them?"

I like this guy already. *smiles*
