Well, now that I'm 18, I'm proud to announce (clear throat...) that I:
`have a visa card now
`can vote in the next general election (not that I'm interested in politics, I just like the feeling of being able to vote.)
`will receive my new phone (Sony Ericsson K750i) in a few days. for all who haven't already heard, my previous phone which served me for 9 months has drowned. in other words, murdered by the uni toilet bowl
`am entitled to dress up and apply make up
`intend to get a new hairstyle SOON (curls or short hair?)
`am still 99% the same as the 17 year old me
`have absolutely no idea why am I typing this
`will nevertheless enjoy the very best of being 18
It's just another year, but somehow being 18 makes me realize that I have more responsibility now, be more independant, devote more time to studying His Word, and also be more kind (esp to people I dun rili like).
Thanks to all for your gifts and bdae greetings. Not much presents this year, but its the thought that counts, right? I was really touched when Ivan (ooh, birthday gal wor...) gave me the present my parents bought me *sniff sniff*, and thanks to Liudmila for the cheeky card and gift, and Yang for the chocolate. haha. 1st bdae away from home, not quite as what I had expected but wonderful in many ways too. =)
