hate THAT time of e month

Hmm...today has been fairly boring, predictable.

Anyway, the main worship session led by Lionel was not bad at all. haha! Though some of the songs didn't have strong starts, but whatever la. Some songs were way too high for me, so it does feel a lil awkward singing in falsetto sometimes. aiks.

Speaking of songs, Unca Peter taught us a new song today. Well, actually a VERY ancient song. Apparently, the song "God works in a mysterious way" was written by a famous songwriter, John Newton (who also wrote Amazing Grace). What stood out was that all these songs were written in the 1700s. Wow...I never knew certain songs can stand the test of time for so long.

Of course, the song is really different from the more hip and rockier songs we listen to right now... but the meaning of the whole song is really deep and touching. The song is mainly based on pipe organs, which sounds a lil creepy and mysterious. Derrick keep making jokes about the song, which irritated me a little... had expected him to be more matured after studying overseas though. BOYS WILL BE BOYS. hmmph.

Went out for CNY shopping with my parents, but dunno why, I still don't feel the festive mood. heh. Celebrating CNY, same old thing every year, receiving ang-pows... bla bla blahhhh... What is wrong with me anyway? Same goes for badminton this afternoon. Played well, but I wasn't as cheerful as always, rather feeling moody all day. Even Bernard noticed it. haha! Well, what to say? It's e monthly THING.
