Finally, there is home cell tonight. Not a formal one, but a simple meeting for the leaders to discuss our plans and activities for this year. Four of us youths, unce Chris and unca Voon sat down and really talked a lot about what we want for this coming year. There are so many types of activities to be carried out, but are we able to cope with them all? We listed down concerts, jamming sessions, rallies, mission trips, retreats, camps etc... I just have a feeling that God really has great plans for all of the youths this year, be it in any ministry, whether music, children, or youth. Throughout the last year, the youths had grown so much, mentally and spiritually and it just proves how much development He is gonna show to all of the youths and teens this year. I just feel sad that I won't have the chance to be involved in some of the activities... especially camps and mission trips later on this year. *sad*
Anyway, I've made a resolution to commit myself to the Children's ministry to help in any way I can. It's time that the youth take charge of the children's section and make it more (ahem) interesting and lively. I believe that it's not an impossible task, since most of us has had training at kidsgames and other programmes before. The kids no longer scare us. haha!
One last thing. I'm glad that unca Voon has suggested to restart the mentor/dicipleship program, where a leader will mentor at least one diciple, and the diciple will in turn coach another member of the youth, and the cycle goes on and on. It's a start to something awesome, I can just feel it. In time, the youths in the church will become spiritual leaders and worshippers of God. Amen!
