praise Him for the new year!!!

WOW. A year really has passed, and a new year has been launched about 39 minutes ago as I type this. Throughout the 366 days of the year 2004, countless events had happened in our lives, all in all making us stronger and wiser. Whatever we have been through, whether good or bad, has definitely taught us valuable lessons and helped us grow and mature as human beings.

Just came back from the 2004 Night Watch at the centre. This year, to me, the program was great and very appropriate with what is happening around the globe. We worshipped, praised God, thank Him for all that He's done and pray for the world. We prayed over the tsunami disaster, over all the people suffering right now. We also prayed for peace and love of God to embrace the victims all across Asia.

How ironic it is that some people, including me, are celebrating a joyous New Year, while at the same moment, millions of people are crying out in misery for their loved ones. While we were happy and smiling away, they were crying and in sorrow. I just pray that people wil be more generous in giving and donating to all victims in any way possible. The 1 rinngit I donated wasn't much, but I hope it will make a difference somehow.

A new year always symbolises new hope, new dreams, new chance. The old is quickly put aside, and we all await the future. I just have a 6th semse that this year is going to be so much different than the others. In what way, I'm not sure. But whatever it is, may all of us continue to trust in the Lord always and stay faithful to him. Let us all unite in time of happiness and troubles. Let us be strong and put on the full armour of God. Amen!
