Mushi mushi!
The Scripture Union International Rally was really a big eye-opener for me. Through these kinds of gatherings you can really discover that there is more than your present life, and that the world doesn't revolve around you alone.
One thing I noticed instantly is how close all the campers are. Though they all come from different countries and struggle to speak the same language, they all seem to communicate and understand each other so well. It's a pity that some people that speak the same language don't even communicate well and agree on the same things here. So sad~
Anyway, the bond between the campers was undeniable. A guy came up to Lionel just now, hugged him and cried like a baby. Seriously, a teen guy just bawled right in front of us coz he'll miss all the new friends that he has made during those few days of camp. *So touching...* Ik Sung even became "pretty close" with some of the Japanese girls (cute cute ones). haha!
I really regret that I didn't join the camp... Dunno why I passed up this golden opportunity. sigh sigh. Almost all of the campers will be going for mission trips to "ulu" area in the state next Monday for 3 days. It's really a test for Lionel and Ik Sung... and a chance to test their faith. Please pray that everything goes smoothly and grant all the campers a safe journey to and fro. Pray also for the Iban communities who will be receiving His word that they will be receptive and friendly.
