Chap Goh Meh this year coincides with mum's bdae. So we had a feast at Merdeka's. Feast, as in my waistline had increased at least a few inches. Fuh, I couldn't even walk straight after the meal. haha! Had to suck in my tummy on the way out...all because we didn't want to waste the money.
It's funny how I never knew also that today happens to be the Chinese version of Valentine's. Wow...people actually do throw mandarin oranges into the river or sea. Weird tradition. Do they expect the fish god or something to grant them a partner? Or is there an explanation to this myth that I don't know of?
