Some people try hard to be funny, but the real funny people look or do something funny without trying hard.
I just found out about something my cousin-in-law, formerly an air steward, did a while ago. A customer, a Malay lady ordered warm water. She was probably from east peninsular and spoke with a weird slang, so he misheard what she requested for. Instead of bringing her a glass of warm water ("air suam" in BM), he and a few other air stewards sang the ballad "I swear" to her, right in the plane. Oh gosh...
Anyway, there's this guy who works at a coffee shop near my mum's shop. The Sunflower Deli taukeh, coincidentally named Stanley also, told us that he found out that this waiter uses a fake handphone. Yes, a flip one I think. Goodness. Almost every morning, he passes through the shop, waves hello at me, and shows-off his "cool" handphone. O-kaaaay...
Finally, jamming session is on again this Sunday afternoon. NICE. We're gonna practise new songs, hopefully learn from the professionals. Unca Voon shared about his concerns a few days back. He told me Unca Peter is taking diploma starting in Feb, Carol is going back to KL in mid Feb, and with me going overseas sometime during May, are there going to be enough keyboardists? Sam has played in the church a few times, but he's worried whether she is commmitted to it, and willing to play more often, which is really a headache... Not forgetting we're lack of drummers, with the sole drummer, Lionel, going for NS soon...and Godric only fooling around with the drum set occasionally. We need a miracle, seriously.
So it's fixed. We're spending Chinese New Year this year at mum's home town again, Sibu. Maybe I'll have more time to shop at Wisma Sanyan this time. hehe. The food there is really cheap, too. Can eat more without feeling that guilty. haha!
