What's the big deal about Valentine's Day anyway? Couples exchange gifts, most probably chocolates, roses, and cuddly bears...just for the sake of doing it.
A guy who came to my mum's shop bought 3 over-expensive recipe books for his wife. My guess is, his wife's reaction would be, "Wah, so expensive ar! Why need to 'kai lui' on these things... " Sha's bf bought (more) chocolates for her, when she's eager to lose some weight. Yup, guys are weird. They want girls to look pretty yet give them chocolates. Sigh...
Anyway, what I'm trying to point out is Valentine's Day is too commercialised. Ok, blame me for not being a romantic person. Well, at least I still have a present from, surprisingly, the least expected person. Hmm...
The youths went to Unca Peter's new home last Sunday for a swim at the pool. All of them except me. Don't really know what happened to me, but I didn't feel like packing for extra clothes before that. As a result, I have no clean clothes to change into and decided NOT to swim. Idiot. Everyone was asking, "Eh, why are you not joining us?" The whole afternoon, I missed out on all the fun... Sigh sigh. But it's funny watching the guys diving into the pool in silly ways. haha! The surprise was meeting Gloria (n probably her bro) who were visiting nearby... Anyway, moral of the story for me: Think twice before making any decision next time.
